INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup instant nonfat dry milk
- ½ cup cold water
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons sugar
PREPARATION
- Chill large mixing bowl and whisk/beaters in refrigerator or freezer for at least 30 minutes prior to mixing ingredients.
- Mix the dry milk with the water.
- Beat on high for about 5 minutes until soft peaks begin to form.
- Add the vanilla extract and beat on high for another 7 minutes.
- Add sugar and beat on high for another minute.
NOTES
- This recipe can be made with a mixer. It can also be made using a whisk. If using a whisk, each step may take longer.
- It may be helpful to chill the whipped topping briefly between steps.
- This whipped topping will hold together for about 30 minutes so it is a good idea to make it as close to serving time as possible.
